Air Conditioning

Air conditioning uses a huge amount of energy and can increase a building’s energy consumption and associated carbon emissions by up to 100%.However utilised correctly with efficient control logic the impact can be minimised. Chiller refurbishments and replacements are project managed. We routinely undertake building compliance air conditioning inspections.

Refrigeration can account for a significant proportion of site energy consumption. ETS employ a range of refrigeration techniques and products to achieve these savings. 2% to 4% compressor power saving for a 1°C reduction in condensing temperature.  System optimisation, condition and maintainability audits are part of our service.

By ensuring that efficient heating systems are specified, operated and maintained the savings can be substantial. Lowering set points by just 1°C can reduce your heating bill by 8%. Heat recovery and boiler optimisation is essential, as is boiler room refurbishments, which can include integration of CHP, ground / air source heat pumps or biomass.
