The bulk of the support provided by ETS Ltd is to the multi-let offices where, on behalf of the landlord, we provide the M & E Services. The type of multi-let property can range from a small 10,000 sq. ft. three storey building with a simple gas wet heating system, through to a fully air conditioned 250,000 sq. ft. office block in the West End of London.
We have been using the services of ETS Ltd and its predecessor Emtec for over three years. In that time, we have found them to be extremely supportive and very professional in their approach.
The prime reason for going down this route was the lack of technical expertise within our Company and increasing legislative compliance that made us over dependent upon the advice of contractors, who clearly had a vested financial interest. ETS have acted on our clients’ behalf for the last six years, whilst I have acted as a management surveyor for Chesterton and King Sturge. ETS have provided mechanical and electrical and energy advice for a number of buildings, all with different requirements. These are predominantly larger office buildings with more sophisticated mechanical and electrical equipment but recently advice has extended to plant within shopping centres.
ETS have prepared asset registers, tender documents, reports, and recommended appointment of contractors. ETS have monitored appointed contractors to ensure that the contract is completed as necessary. This identifies shortfalls as and when they occur, which allows immediate remedy rather than identification following failure of plant.
ETS have also been appointed to provide energy advice and implement controls. Particularly to monitor and appraise the requirements of a building and amend controls accordingly. This has led to substantial savings in energy consumed and therefore cost savings.”
